the better runner on the track. Alydar was better in the breeding shed,
siring Easy Goer, Alysheeba, Turkoman and other good runners. The Texas
Monthly described Alydar's death as "a sweeping saga of
greed, fraud, and almost unimaginable cruelty that could have been
lifted straight from a best-selling Dick Francis horse-racing novel. Too
bad J. T. only spent four years in prison for bank fraud. Alydar fans
would surely agree he deserved worse
